Now I am REALLY not a Coldplay fan finding most of their songs somewhat to completely annoying.

Once again, no definitive song this morning, but instead of a single melody over and over again, it was random melodies........

Funny how the mind works in fairly random manner. Today's song is one that I don't ever remember listening to outside of it coming on the radio occasionally.

September 23 - Aaaaaaaaaaand we're back

I guess the music gremlins in my head needed a weekend off too. No tunes waking up two days in a row. Very unusual. Maybe it what the @Lakweeodbrewing Temptress after being at Addison Oktoberfest..... One shall never know..........

September 16 - another Monday.....

Back to the grind. Nise to the grindstone, or whatever that phrase is. Either way, it's back to work after a quick trip to Stillwater to see the firstborn. Funtime. Noticed the tires were low on the sequoia, so used the cigarette lighter based compressor to get them back up to normal pressure and in the processs found out the battery was dead (we think). After a few back and forths with AAA who sold us the battery, we arranged to have it towed to Firestone for a checkout. Haven't heard yet if its the battery or alternator, or.......

Anyway, today's song reminds me that some people in this world don't have to deal with this kinda stuff and others have it much worse.

First road night in this experiment. Staying at the Looooooovely Quality Inn in Stillwater OK after experiencing the OSU Cowboys destroy the Lamar Cardinals last night at the wort design stadium ive ever been in. Really? 50 contiguous seats in a row?  Ummmm people need to pee, and eat, etc. massive logistics nightmare. but I digress.

September 14 - rat in a cage

So I decided to make beer yesterday. Nothing new there you say. OK. Mash is done, Sparge is done, 7.5 gallons of 13 Brix goodness is in the boil kettle ready to be transformed into Black Number 1 (pending name). All is well in the world. 60 minute hops are in, 30 minute hops are in, 15 minute hops are in 5 minute hops are in. Whats that smell? Uh oh. Rain. What? I'm not done yet. I still have to cool this all down and get i into the fermenter. Wind picks up uh oh. Coming in sooner....

Find an umbrella stand and umbrella (we have extras) and moved everything under the cover of the big brolly including all the electrical connections (water and electricity don't play nice kids) for the pumps I am using.

JUST IN TIME. Downpour.

Despite all my rage (and being somewhat soaking wet), I get the 5.5 gallons of wort chilled (thanks to my new wort chiller and re-circulation wand/pump combo) and the rain stops. 5 1/4 gallons onto a yeast cake I already had from "Ryders on the Steam" I made last month and off we go.....

I actually thought today would be the first day without a recognizable song to wake up to. Oh sure there were "noises" but nothing discernible, until a quiet fad in.. Musta been my own extended remix version......

September 2 - scared puppies

So there was a small thunderstorm last night in Plan-0. As usual my 70lb 'fraidy cat of a  mixed breed was whining, jumped up on the bed etc. causing me to wake up many times.

Many songs in my head as a result, but I didn't write them down, and part of this experiment is to chronicle those songs I remember. That requires documentation in most cases. Alas, the rotating music stock of last night is incomplete and therefore will not be mentioned.
